Faculty Overview:
The Faculty of International Studies was founded in accordance with Decision No.796/QD-TCCB dated 13th April 2006 by the President of The University of Danang. The faculty is in charge of five under-graduate programs: International Studies, High Quality International Studies, Oriental Studies, High Quality Oriental Studies and Vietnamese Language and Culture and one Master’s program in Contrastive Linguistics. In current trend of integration and globalization, the Faculty aims to meet social requirements for high-quality labor resources in various career areas such as foreign affairs, international exchanges and cooperation in the whole country in general and in Central Vietnam in particular. It also aims to boost the understandings between Vietnam and other nations.

The Faculty of International Studies is committed to provide high quality graduates with global competence, and to introduce Vietnamese language and culture to the world.
Vision
The Faculty of International Studies aims at being an educational unit that promotes learners to become global citizens with high adaptability in an environment of diversity and integration in economies, cultures, and societies.
The Faculty’s responsibilities:
The Faculty of International Studies is:
- Providing one Master’s program in Contrastive Linguistics; five Bachelor’s programs in International Studies, High Quality International Studies, Oriental Studies, High Quality Oriental Studies, and Vietnamese Language and Culture;
- Assisting with research and transaction work for the Language & Culture Center and University of Foreign Languages, the University of Danang.
- Teaching Vietnamese as a foreign language to international students in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam's 6-level Foreign Language Competency Framework.
- Organizing exchange programs and activities on Vietnamese language and culture for international organizations and foreign institutions in need
Notably, the Faculty of International Studies have two programs accredited by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Network of Universities (AUN-QA)
- International Studies Program was accredited on March 21 2019, with certification number AP392UDFEB19
- Oriental Studies Program was accredited on 04 December 2022, with certification number AP949UDOCT22
