Acecook Viet Nam Awards Scholarships to Disadvantaged Students of UFLS-UD

On August 28, 2018 at Novotel Hotel Danang, Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company held the Acecook Vietnam 2018 scholarship award ceremony and awarded 18 scholarships, each worth $ 500 (equivalent to VND 11,400,000) for students from UFLS, University of Economics, University of Science and Technology- The University of Da Nang. The four students from UFLS-UD namely Doan Thi Thien Nga (16CNP01), Vo Thi Diep (14CNA03), Tran Thi Sam (15SPA02) and Dang Thi Nhan (17CNQTH01) were honored to receive the scholarship this year.
With the aim of making contribution to society and helping to create favorable conditions for students, this year, upon promoting the success of the 2016 and 2017 scholarship programs, Acecook Vietnam continued to provide 90 scholarships for disadvantaged students but always strive to overcome difficulties to become academic high-achievers. The program has attracted more than 1,000 students from nine universities in Hanoi, Danang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho including Hanoi University of Commerce, Hanoi University of Industry, National Economics University, UFLS- UD, University of Science and Technology - UD, Economics University - UD, University of Economics- Ho Chi Minh City, University of Natural Sciences -Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho University. The total scholarship value is worth up to 1.035 billion VND.
Speaking at the scholarship award ceremony, Mr. Kajiwara Junichi - General Director of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company said: "The positive changes in life and academic achievements that The Acecook Vietnam scholarship-holders in the previous years have gained is the driving force and reason for Acecook Vietnam to continue to organize scholarships in 2018 and increase the number of scholarships to 90 in the four areas nationwide. This is the first year Acecook Vietnam held scholarships in Da Nang and Can Tho. With the business philosophy "Cook Happiness" - bringing happiness to consumers, to the society, we always strive to create the most happy opportunities possible for consumers, especially the young generation - the future of the country!"
Dang Thi Nhan (UFLS-UD), one of the students who received the scholarship, said: "A few days ago my parents worried that they did not know how to manage to pay tuition fees in the new school year. This summer I had to come back home to help my parents look after my younger siblings so I could not afford any part-time job to earn money. Acecook Vietnam 2018 scholarship is an invaluable gift both spiritual and material for me and my family. This scholarship has helped me and my family to be more confident in the academic journey I am pursuing. "
