Updated : 07/04/2021

In line with the 2020-2021 academic year plan related to student support, on February 2, 2021, UFLS-UD held an event to give presents to 34 domestic students and international ones from Laos, South Korea and China who are currently studying at ULFS-UD but unable to return to their home cities and countries for the 2021 Lunar New Year celebration.

This was an annual activity of UFLS-UD with a view to providing support and encouragement to students who cannot return home for the New Year holidays for various reasons. The activity also shows the university leaders’ detailed consideration to learners in general and international students in particular.

At the event, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Mai Kha, Vice Rector, gave an encouraging speech to the students, reminding them of the university’s quality policy that consistently adheres to learner-centered principle, and confirming that the Board of Rectors, leaders from the Unions, Departments and Faculties are always willing to offer support and assistance to learners when needed. Dr. Huynh Ngoc Mai Kha wished the students a happy and safe Tet holiday away from families and relatives.

On behalf of the students attending the event, Saivatthana Vongxalaxith – a Laotian student from Class 18CNQTH02, Faculty of International Studies - showed deep gratitude towards the University leaders’ special attention and believed that they would have a warm Tet in Danang. He promised he would do his best in study and practice of conduct to please teachers and parents. The event came to an end with a warm atmosphere.
