On the morning of May 26, 2015, University of Foreign Language Studies - The University of Da Nang successfully held the 2018 Student Research Conference

 

TS. Dao Thi Thanh Phuong – the university’s Vice Rector delivering the opening speech.

 

In the opening speech, TS. Dao Thi Thanh Phuong has emphasized the role, significance and position of scientific research in general and scientific research of students in particular in the improvements of  the quality of training, prestige and trademark of the University; This helps students not only achieve high academic results but also help students shape soft skills in life such as presentation skills, teamwork skills, problem solving skills. In addition, scientific research helps students form critical thinking, independent thinking and creative thinking. "The conference of scientific research students in 2018 gathered 83 university-level subjects, 58 topics presented at the conference after the department-level and university-level professional councils recruited from 114 subjects with the participation of near 200 students in 8 department across the universitt, this impressive figure represents a serious investment as well as a passion for scientific research amongst the students. Under the enthusiastic guidance of the department members, the topics of this year generally have increased in quality and diversity in the areas of research such as language, translation, teaching science, culture , intercultural, international, economic and social issues. Most of the reports are the subjects which have high scientific content and value of practical application. The research results in the topics are also useful materials for teaching and learning. "- TS. Dao Thi Thanh Phuong said.

 

In the opening speech, TS. Dao Thi Thanh Phuong has emphasized the role, meaning and position of the 2018 Student Research Conference, which is really a research festival, the creation of youth; a place to exchange learning, sharing learning experience - research; It is a chance to show the intellectual ability of students who are trained in a high quality academic environment. Also at the conference program, 58 works were selected for reporting and approval at the 8th Subgroup Forum. The group was confidently presenting the results of the study convincingly and received great appreciation from the council.

It can be said that scientific research activities in general, scientific research activities in particular are always interested in the school and become an annual activity, deploying synchronously and widely, contributing to the achievement of UFLS’s objectives of becoming a research-driven core education institution.
