Implementing Cooperation Projects with Universities from Taiwan

Following the invitation of the Taiwan Economics and Culture Head Office at HCMC and the Taiwan Ministry of Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc, Rector of UFLS, the University of Da Nang paid a visit to universities in Taiwan in order to promote the long-term cooperation with these universities in training and research.
On behalf of UFLS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc expressed his sincere thanks for the warm welcome of the leaders of Taiwan universities. Doctor Ass. Prof. Tran Huu Phuc also briefly introduced the UFLS history of more than 32 years of development. UFLS is one of the member universities of the University of Da Nang with the mission of “training and improving knowledge of human language and culture in order to serve the national construction and development and international integration”.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc said that “The university always focuses on promoting international collaboration in training and research, enhancing the academic staff’s capabilities and boosting academic exchange and research in order to improve its training quality through various forms of collaboration”.
At the meetings, universities discussed and agreed on cooperation opportunities on the basis of their strengths. Particularly, many agreements have been signed in training collaboration, exchange of lecturers and students, co-hosting of conferences and syllabus compiling.
This official visit of the university leaders to Taiwan universities has opened various opportunities in collaboration, exchange and development in culture and education. The cooperation projects will promote long-term cooperation in training and research among universities. The cooperation projects are also the prerequisites for building an international learning community as stated in the University’s strategic vision 2030, promoting international cooperation links between UFLS and other universities in the world.
