First Asian - French Female MP Inspires Students at UFLS-UD

On the afternoon of April 18, 2025, students and lecturers of University of Foreign Language Studies -The University of Danang (UFLS-UD) had the opportunity to attend a special talk with Madame Stéphanie Do - the first female Member of Parliament of Asian descent in the French National Assembly.
From a Vietnamese who could not speak French to becoming a member of the French Parliament, Madame Stéphanie Do’s story of overcoming difficulties and her aspiration to serve the community brought strong inspiration to all participants.
In her opening speech, Dr. Đào Thị Thanh Phượng - Chairwoman of the University Council – emphasized that Madame Stéphanie’s journey is a vivid example of the power of education, the desire to rise, and the spirit of resilience - core values that UFLS-UD aims to nurture in its students as future global citizens.
With sincerity and openness, Madame Stéphanie shared her life journey and introduced her autobiography, which conveys meaningful messages about perseverance and the will to contribute to society. The book also includes a foreword written by French President Emmanuel Macron.
The talk ended with an exciting Q&A session with students and lecturers, followed by a book signing and photo-taking session, creating a memorable and meaningful experience that spread positive energy and inspiration to the young generation.
