INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE AT RAJABHAT UDON THANI UNIVERSITY, THAILAND OF STUDENTS OF UFLS - UD

From April 19, 2023 to May 13, 2023, 55 students from the Faculty of English for Special Purposes (FESP), the Faculty of English, the Faculty of International Studies and the Group of Thai Language participated in an internship program at Rajabhat Udon Thani University, Thailand.
Over a course of one month at the University, the students had the opportunity to do an internship at different units of Rajabhat Udon Thani University such as the Department of International Cooperation, the Department of Language and Culture and other departments and faculties. In addition to internships, students also took part in extracurricular activities and cultural exchanges with Thai lecturers and students and the local Thai communities. These interns demonstrated good English skills and other soft skills, which was highly appreciated by the leaders and the lecturers of Rajabhat Udon Thani University. The students were very excited with the experience, knowledge and skills accumulated from the program. This diverse, interesting and useful internship program has enabled students to discover their strengths and weaknesses, and to realize the importance of cross-cultural knowledge, communication skills, and the role of foreign languages in career development and success in the context of globalization, especially the international integration of member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
