Dr. Tran Huu Phuc, Rector of UFLS said that the workshop on “University and Business Links” offered the opportunity for university leaders, academic staff and students to directly welcome the ideas and suggestions of businesses and companies. The workshop was expected to present solutions to the development of the university and business collaboration in order to improve the training quality and employment prospects of graduates from the university.
The workshop offered suggestions concerning curricula, training methods and students’ skill development in their future careers. A representative of FPT Software Danang said that in addition to specialised knowledge, foreign language students should be trained and self-trained with IT skills to enhance their employment development. Many other speakers also mentioned that businesses and companies particularly emphasised employees’ attitudes in their recruitment process because “knowledge and skills can be taught but attitudes of job applicants cannot”.
UFLS currently offers 21 undergraduate programs and 3 post-graduate programs and its training quality has met the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training.
