Celebrating 10 years of training Korean language

In the morning of January 23rd, 2015, University of Foreign Language Studies solemnly celebrated 10 years of training Korean Language.

Attending the celebration were hundreds of representatives of business companies, relevant national and international organs and organizations such as South Korea Embassy in Viet Nam, KOICA, KF, Korean Cultural Exchange Center, Cultural Exchange Center between Vietnam and Korea, Doosan Vina, Asiana Airlines, Korea Airlines, Association of Korean residents in the Central of Viet Nam….
At the celebration, Dr. Trần Hữu Phúc appreciated the achievements of Korean language Division over the past 10 years and stressed that period of time was a very respectful and proud stage of a young division.
He believed the division would continue to endeavor to fulfill its duties; actively renovate teaching and learning methods; bring into play the positivity, initiative and creativity of the teaching staff and students in order to accomplish the fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training; attempt to gain further achievement worthy of the traditional 30-year depth of University of Foreign Language Studies.
“Over the past 10 years, the university has trained 350 bachelors of Korean language for society receiving high evaluation from employers. Many students of Korean language gained excellent achievements in learning and received grand prizes in national and international contests such as National Korean Language Golden Bell Contest, Korean Speaking Contest 2014, ‘Quiz on Korean’, etc… Besides, the staff and lecturers of Korean Language division mostly were fostered professional knowledge and skills abroad. Currently, there are two staff members studying Doctors and 4 staff members studying Masters in South Korea. Up to now, the University of Foreign Language Studies signed memorandum of academic and cultural exchange with 4 universities in South Korea including Chung Ang University, Pusan National University, Myongji University and Catholic University of Daegu together with other organizations and companies to improve training quality. 10 years is not a long time but we are so proud of what the Korean language Division made. There are still difficulties and challenges ahead for Korean language Division, however, with the strength of connecting between its 10-year continuous operation and 30 year tradition of the university, that will be precious belongings for stepping firmly in new and continuous period of development of University of Foreign language Studies – The University of Da Nang.” said Dr. Trần Hữu Phúc.

Associate Professor Phan Văn Hòa – Director of International training Faculty – The University of Da Nang, former Rector of University of Foreign Language Studies recalled the development of Korean language division and expressed his deep gratitude to lecturers for contributing to the sustainable development of the division.
In the framework of the celebration, M.A. Nguyễn Thị Lan Anh – Former Vice Dean of Department of Japanese-Korean-Thai briefly reported the development of Korean language Division over the past 10 years. She also showed her expectation and belief on the next generation of lecturers and students and hoped they would help the Division to be more and more firmly expanded.
On behalf of all students of Korean language Division, Phan Thị Thùy Dung – Student of Class 12CNH01 gave her thankfulness to lecturers who heartily instructed and gave generations of student consistent knowledge base and competence to achieve success in life.
