Cooperation Signing with Gyeongju University (South Korea)

In the morning of May 7th 2015, University of Foreign Language Studies - The University of Da Nang (UFLS-UD) signed a cooperation agreement with a delegation of Gyeongju University (South Korea) led by Dr. Lee Soon Ja – President of Gyeongju University.
The Gyeongju University delegation were welcomed by Dr. Tran Huu Phuc – Rector of UFLS-UD, M.A. Nguyen Bich Dieu – Deputy Head of Office for Science and International Cooperation and M.A. Phan Trong Binh – Vice Dean of Department of Japanese – Korean – Thai.

At the meeting, Dr. Tran Huu Phuc briefly introduced UFLS-UD to the delegation, presented contents related to teaching and training activities at Korean language Division, Department of Japanese – Korean – Thai.

Dr. Lee Soon Ja expressed her joyfulness and highly appreciated UFLS achievements in recent years. She was deeply impressed by the achievements that UFLS gained over 30 years of building and developing, especially over 10 years of teaching Korean Language.
Dr. Lee Soon Ja said Gyeongju University was founded in 1988 and located in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang province, South Korea. It is considered South Korea’s top university in the field of tourism and nuclear power.
She added Gyeongju University contributed greatly to the development of South Korea. Until now, Gyeongju University has become a big training center for culture and tourism, playing an important role in promoting the development of tourism industry and other related industries in South Korea.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on potential cooperative fields. The cooperation agreement signing made a significant advance in the collaboration between the two sides, creating a new and prospective chance to develop for the two universities.
