Cultural Exchange with Hasanuddin University, Indonesia

On August 28, 2015, there was a cultural exchange program between students from Department of International Studies, UFLS-UD, and a delegation of 16 postgraduate students majoring in Political Studies from Hasanuddin University, Indonesia, led by Dr. Nasir Badu.
The program allowed students from both universities to interact with and learn from people who are different from themselves and to participate in new and unique experiences beyond their own communities. Cultural exchange assists students to develop positive relationships with others and understand the unique cultural features of the two countries.
The exchange program became exciting with fun activities even though the students came from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. This is also a good chance for students to share with and learn from others.
Warmly welcoming the students from Hasanuddin University to Da Nang city and visit UFLS-UD, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Quy Khuong – Dean of Department of International Studies said: “I hope that you will discover many interesting things through this exchange program. I would like to receive more and more students from Hasanuddin University to visit and interact with those from our university. Considering the strengths and common features of the two sides, besides cultural exchange, I wish to have a more extensive cooperation between us in the field of training, especially academic courses in Department of International Studies. May you have happy and peaceful days in Da Nang city.”

The program ended with many beautiful memories in the hearts of students. It was considered an open door of hospitality, reflecting the enthusiasm of UFLS-UD leaders, administrators, and faculty and staff.
It is a significant activity for students from the two universities to have opportunity to interact, make friends, study together, and have future career orientation.
In addition, the program also opened opportunities for cooperation between the two sides in the field of exchanging of staff and students and internships for UFLS-UD students of high quality classes at Hasanuddin University, Indonesia.
