Dong Hanh Association Fund Awards Scholarships to Disadvantaged Students

At 10h00 on the 31 of August 2018 at the campus on 131 Luong Nhu Hoc street, UFLS – UD in cooperation with the Dong Hanh (Companion) Association scholarship fund and the Amicale Blaise Pascal Da Nang organized the 34th scholarship award ceremony and gave 33 scholarships (each woth 3.500.000đ) for the students from UFLS, UE, UT, UED under UD. 8 students from UFLS-UD including Phan Thi Dung (17CNATM04), Bui Thi Khanh Linh (16CNATM02), Vo Thi Luong (17CNJ03), Dang Thi Nhan (17CNQTH01), Nguyen Thi Dieu Thu (16CNATM03), Do Thi Thuy (17CNATM02), Nguyen Thi Thuy (16CNATM04), Le Ngoc Tien (17CNATM04) were honored to receive the scholarships this year.
At the ceremony, Ms. Hong Hue, representative from the Amicale Blaise Pascal Da Nang and Mr. Nguyen Le Duy, representative from the Dong Hanh Association had made some remarks to share and introduce their organizations. MA. Nguyen Thai Trung, Head of the Department of Student Affairs, UFLS-UD, on behalf of all the institutions whose students are eligible for scholarships, expressed the sincere thanks to the Scholarship fund and congratulated the scholarship-holders this year. Students Hoang Giu Phi (UT) and Tran Thi Tan (UE), on behalf of all the students shared their feelings upon the receipt of scholarships.
Dong Hanh scholarship fund was established in 2001 by the Vietnamese Student community at Paris Ecole Polytechnique, France. With the slogan "Accompany Vietnamese students", the initial idea of all members was to save money from daily expenditures and turn it into scholarships for the disadvantaged students back in the home country. Over 17 years of development, today Đồng Hành Association has become a large-scale scholarship fund in France and runs under the spirit/philosophy "Students act for students’ sake ". Dong Hanh scholarship fund is headquartered in Paris and currently has more than 100 staff members and volunteers operating in France, Singapore, Taiwan and Viet Nam.
