Japanese Eloquence Contest 2015

In the afternoon of April 11th, 2015, University of Foreign Language Studies – The University of Da Nang held Japanese Eloquence Contest 2015.
The contest gained the active support from The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, Japanese Business Association in Da Nang, FPT City Da Nang Joint Stock Company, Japanese volunteers, units, companies and enterprises.

Dr. Tran Huu Phuc – Rector of UFLS – UD delivered opening speech
In the opening speech, Dr. Tran Huu Phuc said: “The contest is the 9th one. Following the success of previous contests, this one creates a useful playground and environment for learners to evaluate their proficiencies of the language they are learning. Through this contest, they are able to increase their communicative capacities, their language proficiencies. This contest also is a chance for learners to understand more about Japanese people and their country through the language they are learning.”

Mr. Akiyama Kouichi – Chief Examiner delivered speech
Evaluating the contest, Mr. Akiyama Kouichi said: “This is the 9th contest organized in Da Nang city. Its quality has been much upgraded year-to-year. This reflects the effort and attempt of students as well as the effort of teaching staff of Japanese – Korean – Thai Department in increasing teaching quality.
Mr. Akiyama Kouichi hoped students would try harder in learning Japanese in order to improve their language capacities, contributing to the development and friendship between Vietnamese and Japanese peoples.

The Japanese Eloquence Contest 2015 ended successfully and effectively. Candidate Nguyen Thi Thao Phuong (Class 12CNJ02) won the First Prize, the Second Prize and the Third Prize belonged to Le Ngoc Phuong Trinh (Class 12CNJ03) and Vo Thi Thu Thao (Class 12CNJ03).
This annual contest aims to create an academic playing field for candidates to practice their eloquence skills, promote their creativity and self-reliance. In addition, this contest is held to find out Japanese eloquence talents, to foster and improve contestants’ Japanese skills, helping them to be more confident and successful in domestic and international playing fields.
