Meeting of UFLS-UD Council for Science and Academic Affairs

In order to discuss and reach an agreement on issues related to training and research activities, a meeting of the UFLS-UD Council for Science and Academic Affairs, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc – Rector, was held on March 11, 2021.
The Council elected Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc as chairman of the Council and Dr. Nguyen Huu Anh Vuong - Acting Head of the Department of Research and International Cooperation - as secretary of the Council.
The Council members had a thorough discussion about issues related to training and research activities of the University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Van Hoa said: “The University has gained impressive achievements in training, admission, and research, and has also successfully organised national and international conferences.”
Dr. Vu Thi Bich Hau, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, emphasised: “It is necessary to assess the English proficiency level of different groups of learners in Danang city. The UFLS-UD can then work closely with the Department of Education and Training to develop more effective English learning programs, organize more local conferences, and conduct surveys to identify English learners’ learning needs as well as their English language levels. Also, appropriate measures should be taken to enhance the quality of English language instruction as well as learners’ English language.”
