OFFICIAL SURVEY ON EXTERNAL QUALITY ASSESSMENT IN HIGHER EDUCATION AT UNIVERSITY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE STUDIES - THE UNIVERSITY OF DANANG (UFLS-UD)

From 27 June to 2 July 2022, UFLS-UD in collaboration with the Center for Education Accreditation - Vietnam National University (VNU - CEA) conducted the official Survey on External Quality Assessment in Higher Education for its second cycle.
At the opening ceremony, Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien – Director of the Center for Education Accreditation - Vietnam National University (VNU - CEA) highly appreciated the ceaseless efforts of UFLS-UD in implementing its education quality assurance and accreditation, fulfilling its social responsibilities, as well as constantly upgrading the quality of training programs, scientific research, and community service amid the context of safe and flexible adaptation to and effective control of Covid-19 pandemic. This is the fifth university in the Vietnamese higher education system to conduct its official survey on external quality assessment in higher education for the second cycle since it was first granted the certificate of accreditation for national education quality in 2016.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long – Vice Rector of UFLS-UD delivered a welcome speech and expressed his special thanks to the experts of external assessment delegation and the Board of Director of the Center for Education Accreditation - Vietnam National University (VNU - CEA) for helping UFLS-UD to identify its strengths as well as shortcomings. This will pave a way for UFLS-UD to make further improvements towards the betterment of and the commitment to providing a high-quality education for the sake of sustainable development.
At the closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc - Rector of UFLS-UD extended his sincere thanks to the experts of external assessment delegation, leaders, former senior leaders from prestigious domestic and international higher education institutions, who altogether join hands with UFLS-UD to complete its official survey on external quality assessment at institutional level. His further thanks were sent to lecturers, staff, enterprises, employers, students, alumni, other stakeholders for all their generous support, and to the press and media for their coverage of the event.
The preliminary results and findings of the external assessment for the second cycle will help UFLS-UD make a further step in realizing its educational philosophy, mission, and vision with an aim of enhancing the training quality, and better meeting the needs of skilled social workforce, thereby affirming the prestige and brand name of UFLS-UD in the society.
