Opening Ceremony of Traditional Camp “UFLS Youth with Vietnamese Cultural Identity”

On the morning of April 1, 2017, the traditional camp “UFLS Youth with Vietnamese Cultural Identity” was officially inaugurated at UFLS Football Ground.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Duong Nguyen Minh Huy, Vice Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Danang (UD), Dr. Tran Huu Phuc, Rector of UFLS, deans and heads of related departments and offices, and more than 800 student campers from English, French, Russian, Chinese, English for specific purposes, Japanese – Korean – Thai, and International Studies departments.

In the opening remarks, Ms. Ho Thi Thuc Nhi – Secretary of UFLS Youth Union stated: “This camp is a combination of several model activities and skills with the desire to enhance UFLS students’ pride on the glorious success of the Youth Union and to create a healthy playing field for youth members to exchange and learn new experience. I hope that all of the campers will participate fully and enthusiastically to contribute to the success of the UFLS camp.”

Dr. Tran Huu Phuc, Rector of UFLS said: “UFLS youth activities over the past years have gained huge success, contributing to the ceaseless development of the university. This year, the traditional camp is held on the occasion of the completion of UFLS Youth Union’s Congress for term 2017-2019, the organization of UD Youth Union’s Congress for term 2017-2022, 86 years of establishment of Viet Nam’s Youth Union (March 26,1931 – March 26, 2017), 42 years of independence of Da Nang city, and especially 15 years of establishment of UFLS Youth Union. Therefore, we strongly believe that this camp will be a success and will help the students treasure the country’s traditional values, make more friends as well as develop their own soft and leadership skills.

The traditional camp took place from April 1 to April 2, 2017 with a variety of activities such as local food festivals, folk games, UFLS’ talents and so on.
