Video Reportage “University of Foreign Language Studies – the Unviersity of Danang (UFLS-UD) – Technology: Dual Solution in Education”
Since the start of 2020 with the outbreak of Covid-19, UFLS-UD has immediately applied the online teaching mode to ensure on-schedule implementation of the training plan of the academic year. After nearly two years of technology-based teaching, both lecturers and students have familiarized with and taken interest in this new online teaching mode. The university has indeed faced some challenges in this transformation to ensure adequate investments in equipment and facilities, internet infrastructure, and, most importantly, staff’s competence in applying technology and adapting to changes. IT application in teaching is not only an adaptive measure in the current and long-term context of Covid pandemic but also a strategy on the journey towards digital transformation aimed at eduational quality enhancement of the university.
The following commentary is extracted from the reportage on VTV8 about “UFLS-UD: Technology – Dual Solution in Education”. “It is not accidental that UFLS has obtained the Educational Quality Assurance Accreditation, at both national and international level. It is not either by chance that UFLS is trusted to be part of the National Foreign Language Project carrying out many important components such as: fostering foreign language teaching practices, training in professional skills and teaching methodology, developing and innovating currirclum, organizing testing and assessment of foreign language proficiency and granting national certificate, training and granting national certificate for test writers and test examiners of foreign language proficiency; developing training programs in testing and assessment for lecturers of various universities and junior colleges, and school teachers of different localities. This encouraging result is credit to UFLS’s proper strategy over the years as well as its great efforts in applying information technology and implementing digital transformation in all of its operations.”
