“The University of Danang Will Become One of the Leading Universities in Southeast Asia” (Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc)

On the morning of 24 February, 2017, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc paid a visit to the University of Danang. The Vietnamese Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha, other key ministers and senior officials.

At the meeting with the Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam - Director of the University of Danang made several suggestions regarding the implementation of the Danang University Village Project, the establishment of two more new universities, the transformation of Vietnam-UK Research Institute into the VN-UK University.
In his closing remark, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that in the fourth industrial revolution, it is important for the University of Danang to upgrade its local and international levels aiming towards one of the top 50 research universities in Southeast Asia in 2035. Furthermore, with its potentials and strengths in the field of mechanical engineering industry, the University of Danang needs to focus on combining theoretical and practical training, striving for a self-controlled university, contributing to enhancing the quality of national university education.
