University of Danang moved up three steps, ranking 6th in the Top 10 best Universities of Vietnam in the University Ranking list of Webometrics

According to the latest Webometric Ranking of World Universities published in June 2018 basing on the evaluation result among world universities, University of Danang ranked the sixth in the Top 10 best universities of Vietnam.
This is the significant progress from top 9 to top 6 of best universities in Vietnam (moving up to 3 degrees compared to the rank in January 2018) which displays the noticeable effort of University of Dining in every aspects thanks to the management and comprehensively application of positive and effective measures such as the reform in publication, the access and advance in information quality, the comprehensive connection in websites of University of Danang with those of other university members as well as national and international partnerships, the increase in science publications of ISI, SCOPUS and several new research findings, the regular publication of electric media (Newsletter, Annual Report…), the continuous improvement and advance in the education quality insurance and international verifications.
Regarding scientific research, basing on the evaluation result of the number of science publication extracts and work, research documents from Google Scholar source, University of Danang was also evaluated and ranked in the top 6 best universities of Vietnam.

The Webometric Ranking of World Universities is a system which ranks the universities according to the total index including the number of website contents, the total entry times, the impact on external publications (extracts of university websites). The aim of the ranking list is to encourage the improvement in the presence of scientific institutions on websites and stimulate the publication, extracts of research findings among universities all over the world.
Webometrics highly appreciates the assistance of initiatives in Open Access which in order to increase the access capability to electronic information on scientific research and academic documents publications. Webometrics present the worldwide universities’ ranking result basing on the parameter of websites of educational universities following the four-criteria ranking standard:

Presence: the number of sub-websites stored in the system of the university are recognized by Google;

Impact: the number of backlink from other websites to university’s website

Openess: the number of extracts from scientific research work on the Google Scholar data
-
Excellence: top 10% of articles written by lecturers, scientists of the university published on scientific articles with the most extracts belonging to Scopus list.
The Webometrics ranking result was first published in January 2014 and was regularly updated twice a year in January and July.
In 2017, University of Danang continuously reached the high rank in the World University Ranking such as Top 4 in the Individual Research Expert Group Ranking List among 49 Vietnam Universities (published on September 06 2017), top 5 in the Ranking list of university for International Colleges and Universities (http://www.4icu.org/vn) and top 9 in the The Webometric Ranking.
In 2018, result of the Webometric Ranking of World Universities in July 2018 continue to prove the sustainable prestige and the position of University of Danang in the top best universities of Vietnam which develop significantly together with the integration into the regional and international universities.
