Workshop on “Integrating ICT into Designing and Developing BA Programs in TEFL”

Implementing tasks assigned by the National Foreign Languages 2020 Project, the University of Foreign Language Studies (UFLS-UD) held a university level scientific workshop entitled “Integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into designing and developing BA programs in TEFL”, on the morning of September 4, 2015.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Nguyen Van Long – Vice Rector of UFLS-UD, and presenters from Departments and more than 100 delegates: lecturers, doctoral students, and post-graduate students of the University.
Dr. Nguyen Van Long - Vice Rector of UFLS-UD delivered the opening speech
At the opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Van Long said: “This scientific workshop was held as an opportunity for faculty, doctoral students and post-graduate students of the University to exchange information, suggestions and experiences on the application and integration of information and communication technology, contributing to the design and development of BA programs in TEFL at the university. This is a workshop was organized at university level; the national level workshop will be held in mid-October, 2015.

The workshop focused on themes such as E-learning, application of technology to the language classroom, use of online corpus databases in the language classroom and cultural exchange programs, managing multimedia/hypermedia environments, new technologies in the language teaching and learning, enhancing autonomous learning through technology, and others related to the application of ICT in foreign language teaching, design and development of English language teacher education programs in particular and foreign language teacher education programs in general.
