WORKSHOP ON “SOME PROBLEMS IN COMPARATIVE AND CONTRASTIVE LINGUISTICS BETWEEN LANGUAGES”

On January 2nd and 3rd, 2023, the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture, UFLS-UD, held a workshop on the topic “Some problems in comparative and contrastive linguistics between languages”.
This is a professional activity of the faculty to provide opportunities for academic exchanges and sharing experiences about in-depth research into phonology, grammar, and other issues in comparative and contrastive linguistics. The seminar presentations were given by three leading professors in the field of linguistics, including Prof. Shibatani Masayoshi - Kobe University, Japan and Rice University, the U.S.A.; Prof. Prashant Pardeshi - National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics; Prof. Shimizu Masaaki - Osaka University, Japan.
